Lil Boosie is sitting in a Louisiana jail cell awaiting a murder trial, but the rapper soon hopes to be freed.

The rapper, born Torrence Hatch, claims that District Attorney Hillal Moore III has a vendetta against him since Hatch mentioned him in a song.

In the song “F*ck Em All,” Lil Boosie raps “F*ck the D.A. and the lawyers/ Your racist ass is going to hell/ You’ll probably be dead when I come out of jail ya old b*tch.”

Boosie’s attorney, Jason Williams, has filed a motion that the rapper be removed from the murder trial. Williams claims that Moore added Boosie to the case after hearing the song.

“Mr. Moore learned of these disparaging comments and within 10 days of hearing these remarks, he prepared a case against Torrence Hatch to bring before a grand jury when the individuals actually responsible for this crime had been in custody for quite some time,” according to court papers filed by Williams.

Lil’ Boosie is on trial along with a 17-year-old in the shooting death of Terry Boyd.
