A limited number of 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct albums, which will arrives in stores November 23rd, will include a bonus DVD of the same title. When talking to Rolling Stone about “Before I Self Destruct,” which is 50 Cent’s directorial debut, 50 indicated a conscious decision to portray “characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were” in his film.

50 Cent also revealed that part of his interest in film production, specifically in directing “Before I Self Destruct,” stems from his desire to improve the stereotypical ‘urban life’ movie. More specifically, 50 dislikes “when [movies] portray certain lifestyles they don’t show cause and effect.”

Based on the films trailer, it would appear that 50 Cent (the businessman) invested a large portion of his own money to turn “Before I Self Destruct” into a reality. Do-it-yourself movie production is not new to the hip hop world (see “Killa Season”), but by the looks of the movie trailer, it appears 50 Cent is going to raise the standards.
