Up to 300,000 people could be in Atlanta this weekend for the long list of events planned. From the revival of Freaknik, to Braves games, the Hawks play-offs and the Dogwood festival, the area will be packed with people.

The National Weather Service predicts–  this weekend’s weather should really nice.  Friday’s forecast is expected to be sunny with a high near 80. Saturday, there’s a small chane of showers in the afternoon with highs in the mid- to upper 70s. And Sunday. Temperatures will cool down to a high near 70.

BIG EVENTS

Dogwood Festival at Piedmont Park, Fri (noon-9 p.m.), Sat (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.), Sun (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) . Expected to draw 85,000 people

Sweetwater – 420 Festival at Candler park in Atlanta, Saturday (noon to 10 p.m.) and Sunday (12:30 to 8 p.m.). Expected to draw thousands

Freaknik at various places around the metro areas, It’s an attempt to revive the former HBCU Spring Break party. Two groups are planning events at private parties.
