Can Twitter and Facebook put you in danger? Well it did to one woman. She learned the hard way when she posted her Facebook status as “heading to the hills with Kurt.” To a criminal that means YOUR HOUSE IS VACANT!.
While she was away someone broke into her home and stole several items. However the burglary was caught on a home surveillance video camera. After reviewing police tape, the victim said that the person looked like one of her Facebook friends. Yikes! That is scary.
Yes, posting a twitter status can be very dangerouos, it makes you susceptible to stalker situations and/or even burglary of your home. You never know who is watching!
