The Florida judge overseeing the Trayvon Martin case has set a new bond for George Zimmerman at $1 million, reports CNN.
It is not known if Zimmerman can post the bond and be released from jail, although only a percentage is needed to make bail and not the full amount. Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for killing an unarmed Martin in Sanford, Florida in February. Zimmerman claims he killed Martin in self-defense.
He would not have to post the full amount. Only a percentage is needed to make bail.
Zimmerman’s bail was revoked last month after Judge Kenneth Lester learned Zimmerman and his wife had failed to disclose more than $150,000 in donations from the public.
