Urban Retailer DTLR, Atlanta Falcons’ player Jonathan Babineaux, Chicago Bears’ Chauncey Davis and Decatur-native and former Baltimore Ravens’ player Daniel Wilcox are inviting Atlanta-area student athletes who will enter grades 7– 12 in school year 2012 – 2013 to register for the 6th Annual DTLR Football Clinic, hosted by Babineaux, Davis and Wilcox.

The free, one-day clinic will allow participants to enhance their current skills and learn more about the college recruiting process and will be held on July 14 at Henry W. Grady High School (929 Charles Allen Drive, Atlanta) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Online registration is currently open.  Parents are strongly encouraged to pre-register their child for the camp as there are only 300 spaces available.  Interested student-athletes can also pre – register online at http://www.registeratdtlr.com/.  Onsite registration is available and will begin at 9 a.m. as space is available.

“We have partnered with pro-football players to create a round of drills stations, challenges, and techniques that are used by the pros,” said Sherri Goodall, Community Outreach Manager for DTLR. “This camp will offer what is often found in paid camps to all students in the community. Participants will have an opportunity to be coached and get feedback from the coaching staff and the pro-players.”

Camp participants perform agility drills, offensive and defensive fundamentals broken down by position and seven-on-seven passing drills.  Parents and students will receive an overview of the college recruiting process by a representative from National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) and have an opportunity to engage the host players and their NFL friends during a question and answer session.

This year DTLR will also host a 7-on-7 Invitational on July 13 and a Lineman’s Challenge at the camp on July 14. Details for both can be found at http://www.registeratdtlr.com.

Schools confirmed for the tournament so far are Martin Luther King, West Lake, Cedar Grove and Carver.
