As we previously reported, doctors have reportedly declared Usher’s stepson (Tameka Foster’s child) Kile Glover, 11, brain dead after he was struck in the head by a jet-ski in a tragic accident at Lake Lanier last weekend.

Kile was on an inner tube when a passing jet ski struck him. The jet ski was reportedly being operated by someone in Glover’s group, and police have not ruled out criminal charges.

Kile’s family has released a statement to CNN about the tragedy:

“We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in him and his word at this most difficult time. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now.”

Celebrities have also voiced their support for Usher, Tameka and their family.

“My heartfelt prayers for Tameka and Usher. Can’t even imagine…” Russell Simmons tweeted.

“My heart hurts for Kyle Glover, Tameka Raymond’s 11-year-old son,” Sherri Shepherd tweeted. “Praying for her, Usher and family. Mother love.”

Usher and Tameka also have two young sons together: Usher Raymond V, 4, and Naviyd, 3.
