On Sunday March 24, 2013, the T.R.U. Foundation celebrated the organization’s official launch by hosting its first annual benefit dinner. Founded by Nakesha Ward, the T.R.U. Foundation is an Atlanta-based non-profit organization geared towards fighting against poverty, dismal education, and domestic violence.
Over the course of the next year, the T.R.U. Foundation will be initiating a series of programs designed to assist those in need, specifically in areas such as education, money management, and job readiness. The organization will also provide resources such as shelter placement, relationship counseling and scholarship programs.
