IF you know ATL and the history of Southern Rap Tunes, then you are in for a treat to see what Atlanta music guru Pretty Ken AKA PK had in store this past Wednesday for the party goers and socialites on Peter St. in Atlanta. One of The founding father’s and former members of the Dungeon Family, PK, pulled off what may have been thought of as the impossible as he united original and second generation members of ATL’s legendary squad The Attic Crew!

The Attic, as most know them, consist of many known music industry players such as PK, KING (Big) FLOATY, TEZ, Youngbloodz–Sean P, Jbo, JIM CROW–Mr Mo, Cutty Cartel, Polow da Don, Playboi Tre, Shawty Putt, Ball, Mark Twayne, Rooster, Tiki Free, Los, Blo Head, Slick Sput, C-Roc, 50 Deep, Fat Dog, and Moss B. Other notables that where in attendance this magical night included Bobby Creekwater (formely of Eminem’s Shady Records), Bone Crusher, BoHagon, TJ of TJ’s DJ’s, Reec of Hot 107.9, Regina Davenport, Renee The G and Rolling Out Magazine.

After successful releases in the early years, including “Dope Boy Fresh” Ft. a then up and coming super star by the name of TI, The Attic separated and began to disperse do to various grievances, as most of our talented super groups tend to do.

The YoungBloodz, had several billboard charting releases, Bohagon and Shawty Putt saw fame with Lil John and The BME movement, Playboi Tre can still be caught touring with now crossover star B.O.B. and Polo Da Don is behind the scene producing for acts such as Christina Millian.

But the man behind the movement, the mad scientist that put this wild bunch together, has finally stepped from behind the scenes to make his debut as “the next one to shine”, and what better way to announce his premier, new label situation and unique sound than during this “family reunion”.

In the midst of a plethora of hits and crowd favorites from above mentioned artist, came an undeniable sound crafted by none other than PK labeled “What Up” featuring ATL’s own, Killer Mike and Bobby Creek Water (who was also in attendance).

After years of being the energy and architect, Pretty Ken has made a 180 degree turn, shortened up the name to PK, and created a project riddled with grown man music that leaves you yearning for more! He has been publicly vouched for by TI (see on TI’s official instagram page @Troubleman / @Pk_atl), Big Boi, Kawan “KP” Prather, and many more. During a candid moment when the entire party was in a football type huddle PK let his former counterparts know what was going on and why he called for this “meeting”.

All i can say is judging by his tone, and reaction from the group, Atlanta get ready, there may be a new Sheriff in town.
