The American Music Awards nominations are in!

Today on Good Morning America, will.i.am and Kelly Clarkson unveiled five categories for this year’s awards show and some of your favorite artists were in the mix.

“Thrift Shop” newbies Macklemore & Ryan Lewis currently lead the pack with three nods for Single of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and Artist of the Year  but they’ve got some stiff competition from veterans like Rihanna, Justin Timeberlake and Robin Thicke.

Rih Rih snagged two nominations for Favorite Female Artist, Pop or Rock which she’s up for against Pink and Taylor Swift (uh-oh…the way Kanye’s been going off lately that showdown might get ugly if the Roc Nation star doesn’t win). The “Pour it Up” crooner is also up for Artist of the Year with Swift, Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake rounding out the contenders for the category.

JT’s 20/20 Experience also snagged him a second nod for Favorite Male Artist Soul/R&B and he’ll go head-to-head with Miguel and Robin Thicke for the honor. Predictably, Thicke has also been nominated for Single of the Year for  “Blurred Lines” after the Pharrell and T.I. assisted track soared to the top of the charts this summer.

See the current list of nominees below (the remaining 17 categories will be announced later today) and don’t forget that the winners for these awards are determined by fans!  Click HERE to cast your votes for winners and tell us who you want to see win in the comment section.

In related news, it was also announced that Miley Cyrus will perform at this year’s ceremony, which will air live on ABC from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. Let’s just hope she leaves that foam finger and her tired attempts at twerking at home this time…
