If you are in Atlanta and you have anything to do with basketball then you know about the Wallace Prather Jr Pro Am and how the Stars align to take part of this legendary league. When the smoke cleared the fan favorite Atlanta Celtics took the championship! The Celtics where led by Josh Smith (Detriot Pistons/NBA), ad Iman Shrumpurt (NY Knicks/NBA). Team Monopoly, led by ATL’s own star Damion Wilkins, couldn’t close a gap created by a late second half run by the Celtics. The League was hosted by Hot 107.9’s own Reec & music was provided by DJ eceptacon (Fleet Djs). The event was free for the entire community to come watch! Gifts and prizes where provided by Redbull, 2 Commas Clothing and Positive American Youth.

Story behind this great event.

The Wallace Prather Jr., Foundation evolved from the vision of Jennifer Prather. This is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young males and females with financial assistance that may be used to defray expenses toward tuition, fees, and/or books. These scholarships will be a one time award that is not renewable for succeeding semesters. Wallace Prather was a dedicated coach who devoted his life to helping young people. In his memory, The WPJRPA will continue the effort of contributing scholarships through the Wallace Prather Jr., Educational Foundation.
