Jennifer Hudson: “I Did Not Turn Down ‘Precious’ Because Of Weight Gain”

Jennifer Hudson is backtracking on her recent explanation as to why she did not take the role in “Precious.”

J Hud told TMZ that her weight was NOT a factor when she turned down the title role of “Precious.” She says she turned it down because she felt it was too graphic for her at that time.

The Weight Watcher spokeswoman contradicts what she told “Dateline” in a recent interview that aired earlier this week, when Jennifer said she passed because, “I would have had to be the big girl again.”

When Lester Holt asked if her decision to turn down “Precious” was motivated by fear of being typecast as a heavy actress … Hudson said, “I don’t like the idea of being boxed into anything.”
