The second day of jury selection has begun in Baton Rouge for the murder trial of Louisiana rapper Lil Boosie, real name Torrence Hatch.

Security is tight around the trial. In a rare move, jurors will be referred to only by numbers, not names, and will be sequestered in hotels away from their families during the trial. Additionally, press conferences usually held outside of the courthouse will now be held inside.

Boosie faces a first-degree murder charges in connection with a murder-for-hire scheme, although the rapper will not face the death penalty if convicted. As we previously reported, the judge presiding over the trial is allowing some of Boosie’s lyrics to be brought up in the trial.

Jury selection is expected to last at least all week.
