As if Kanye West needed something else to boast about, he was nominated for every single award at the BET Hip-Hop Awards except two. Out of the 18 categories, West didn’t receive a nod in the DJ of the Year Award and Rookie of the Year. The only other rappers to come close to matching Kanye’s nominations are 2 Chainz with 13 and Drake with 11 nods. The Drake-Kanye-2 Chainz trifecta will battle it out for every award because they are nominated against each other in every slot.

Hot 107.9’s DJ Drama received a nomination for DJ of the Year.

While Kanye was mentioned in almost every category, there were a few snubs. Nicki Minaj was noticeably absent from any nominations. Her pop hit “Starships” got zero amounts of love. After having banner years, rhymers like Big Sean, Meek Mill, and Rick Ross were only nominated for a handful awards.

We will have to wait until October 9th to see who will take home the trophy. The show tapes in Atlanta at the end of the month. Mike Epps will serve as host for the fourth year in a row. Peep some of the nominees below.
