Nelly may be in some serious trouble. The St. Louis rapper was detained last night in Texas while police officers searched his tour bus and discovered heroin, a loaded gun and several pounds of marijuana.
According to TMZ, Nelly’s bus was stopped at the same border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas where several celebrities have been busted for drugs in recent years including Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson and most recently, Fiona Apple.
After a police pulled the bus over, a police canine detected the presence of drugs, and after performing a search, they found 36 small baggies of heroin (totaling .64 ounces) and over ten pounds of weed inside a large duffel bag. A loaded .45 caliber pistol was also discovered.
The seven people riding on the bus at the time, including Nelly, were all detained during the search, although someone in the group admitted the drugs and gun were his. That person was placed under arrest, while Nelly and the others were let go.
