“The Wire” Actor Robert F. Chew Found Dead

It’s a sad day for fans of former HBO series “The Wire.” Robert F. Chew who played Proposition Joe was found dead in his Baltimore apartment yesterday.

The actor succumbed to cardiovascular disease. Chew was morbidly obese and that was named as a factor that contributed in his death. This is according to the Baltimore coroner’s assessment.

Robert F. Chew appeared on all five seasons of the hit series despite his limited acting experience. His death prompted former co-star Jamie Hector, who played Marlo, to tweet, “I didn’t want to believe this #RIP Robert F Chew, Prop Joe will always be remembered Robert Chew will always be loved and missed!”

R.I.P. Proposition Joe!
