The new cast members of “Love & Hip-Hop” have constantly defended the show as being “real life.” Well, now they have a little bit of proof. Things got slightly awkward when Joe Budden stepped to Consequence during their interview at Hot 97 over comments he and his girlfriend Jen The Pen made about him in various interviews.

Joe Budden was interviewed by Hot 97′s rival radio station Power 105 where they asked him if he would ever consider recording a song with Consequence who is the self-proclaimed greatest ghostwriter in hip-hop. Budden, in his usual nice-nasty tone booted any of those ideas from everyone’s heads. When Consequence and his girlfriend Jen The Pen were on the same radio show, they were posed the same question. They both answered with a negative and threw in some shade.

Once the trio were at Hot 97′s studio to film their respective interviews, Joe Budden asked them if there was anything that needed to be addressed between them. “If either one of y’all got something y’all want to address toward me, we can do it now,” Joe prompted. Peter Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds, and Kay Foxx, the people interviewing the “Love & Hip-Hop” cast members remained quiet during the confrontation. Jen The pen was also noticeably silent during the conversation.

Thankfully, nothing escalates to a physical altercation. Consequence spend about five minutes squashing whatever beef they had and move on. We’ll see how this plays out and report back. Stay tuned.
