The Atlanta security guard and mall manager whose viral videos of him shocking several people with a Taser gun has lost his job. Darien Long was let go from his job at downtown Atlanta’s Metro Mall after management said they could no longer afford to keep him as the facility’s onsite manager, WSB TV reports. The mall said they have lost several vendors and cannot afford to keep Long on the payroll.

Metro Mall was recently raided by police, who seized several counterfeit items, and Long thinks his bosses may not have liked the attention his viral videos brought to the facility.

March 31 will be Long’s last day at Metro Mall. He believes criminal activity will return once he is gone, but one man he tasered claims that Long is the instigator in most of the confrontations. A February video showed Georgia State University student Marcus Purnell writhing on the ground after Long shocked him with his Taser gun.

Purnell maintains he did nothing wrong. He has hired an attorney and is pursuing a case against Long.

Long doesn’t know what his next move will be but he’s reportedly signed on with a talent manager and a possible reality show may be in the works.
