20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Arrivals

Sometimes the couple you least expect to be together stay together forever. This isn’t the case for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon.

The two married in 2008, and Cannon, 33,  revealed exclusively to Yahoo that he and Carey, 44, have been living in separate homes for months now.

“There is trouble in paradise,” the America’s Got Talent host exclusively revealed to The Insider With Yahoo on Thursday. “We have been living in separate houses for a few months.”

There were rumors that the actor-entrepreneur cheated on Carey, but he denies all claims. It seems that they separated in May, but they have no plans to divorce… yet. He told Parade magazine,

“You kind of have to ignore it because every week it’s something different, and if you paid attention to it, it actually probably would start really affecting you,” he explained. “There’s no merit or truth to it. It’s kind of humorous, really. It couldn’t be further off from the truth, and it really affects the credibility of the so-called newspapers.”

The couple have two children together — twins — Monroe and Moroccan, whom they refer to as “Dem Babies.”

MTV News reports that Mariah’s team didn’t offer any comment on Nick’s confession, but they noted that she’s “focusing on her children and her upcoming tour.”

That’s one thing they seem to be able to agree on. Dismissing rumors that someone was unfaithful in the marriage, Nick said, “My main focus is my kids.”

According to “The Insider,” Nick talking about his past tryst with Kim Kardashian on “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” back in March was the last straw for Mimi.
