Former Roc-A-Fella rapper Beanie Sigel was shot in Pleasantville, New Jersey early this morning. According to officials, the Philadelphia rapper was shot after an altercation outside a Jersey shore home. Sigel had reportedly been living in the home.
Details haven’t fully surfaced, but according to police Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, was shot in the stomach and taken to a local hospital for surgery. Beans was released from federal prison in August after serving 2 years for tax evasion. He was wearing a monitoring bracelet on his ankle at the time of the shooting.
Beanie is reportedly in critical condition.
