If you’re active on social media, I’m sure you’ve noticed the whole “waist training” craze. The concept behind waist training involves wearing a “trainer” that reshapes your mid section. Having a fitness background, I was always skeptical of waist trainers because I viewed them as a “short cut” and not a real way to achieve long term results. HOWEVER, after viewing photos of real results, I became tempted to give it a try.

I have been “waist training” for about 5 days. Although my waist trainer is tight, it isn’t uncomfortable. I eat clean (no junk food, sweets, etc.) about 80 percent of the time and I work out about 3 times per week. When I started (5 days ago), my waist measured about 26 inches. In just 5 days, I lost 3/4 of an inch in my waistline (measuring at 25 1/4). Each day the waist trainer became more and more bearable to wear. I ate meals as normal and wore the trainer for about 6-8 hours per day underneath my clothes.

Now, I can’t say for sure what the long term results will be, but these past 5 days have been very convincing. I’ve decided to keep at it for the next 30 days. My goal is to get down to a 24 inch waist line.

Keep in mind, I have 4 children, here’s how my waist line has shrunk:
