Who says animated films like Dreamwork’s latest kid flick “Home” can’t be fun for adults too? Shameless confession: I cried when I watched it. Rihanna (our bestfriend in our head) stars as Gratuity ‘Tip’ Tucci, the closet representation of a little Black girl on the big screen we’ve seen since Disney’s “The Princess & The Frog,” as she cruises through the 3D sky with her colorful friend “Oh” and cat.

“Oh,” a “Boov” from another planet, helps her find her mother while saving the universe and earning the title of captain. Played by Jim Parsons, “Oh” is a fun little EOS shaped creature, who warms your heart with charming broken English. Steve Martin plays the obnoxious and hilarious Captain Smek, who’s more concerned with his own well-being than his fellow Boov’s.

Rihanna hit “Good Morning America” today to talk about the film. Watch it below:

“Home” hits theaters March, 27 so grab the kids and head to the movies. “Tip” is going to give Elsa a run for her money.

Listen to Ri Ri’s ode to the “Home” soundtrack, “Toward The Sun.”
