After weeks of filling the headlines, Young Thug’s latest album, Barter 6 has finally been released.

The 13-track collection features guest appearances from Birdman, T.I., Boosie Badazz and Young Dolph, among others.

Originally, the album’s title was set to be called Carter 6, Thugga’s way of paying homage to his idol Lil Wayne. However, just days before its planned release date, Young Thug revealed via Instagram that he was forced to change the name to Barter 6 because he was threatened with a lawsuit, most likely from Weezy F Baby himself but no details were disclosed.

After dropping off the controversial album cover to his project, Lil Wayne took aim at Young Thug at his “Release Partiez” tour stop in Jackson, Mississippi. Not long afterwards, Thugga replied, once again reiterating his respect for Lil Wayne. Here’s what he said:

“I understand that Lil Wayne is frustrated about his career, and I feel him on that. But this is my idol. I wouldn’t ever in my life swap words with him or beef with him about nothing. This is a person that I look up to.”

After being released via iTunes earlier today, Young Thug’s Barter 6 is now being streamed via Spotify. Check it out below:
