This weekend in Atlanta, over 300 drummers from across the country will take part in the World’s Fastest Drummer Southeast Championship, sponsored by Church’s Chicken. The two categories that contestants will compete in are fastest hands and fastest feet. The two winners will advance to the national championship, which will be held during the National Association of Music Merchants show in Nashville this summer.
Competitors will have 60 seconds to hit the drum as many times as possible. Their score is measured by Drumometer, a device that counts drum strokes.
