Taraji P. Henson, the leading lady of the hit series Empire, is being recognized for her work on the show. Last night, the 44-year-old received the Best Actress in a Drama Series award at the Critics’ Choice TV Awards for her role as Cookie Lyon. During her acceptance, she thanked Fox for taking a risk with her character on the show. “Thank you Fox you’re bold, you took a shot, you take a risk,” said Henson. “This means I’m touching lives, that’s why I got into acting. We created such an incredible family on ‘Empire’, there’s no Cookie without Lucious.” Read more.


Secretary of State John Kerry Injured in Bike Accident

Secretary of State John Kerry, 71, reportedly broke his leg during a bicycle accident in Switzerland Sunday. Following the incident, Kerry was airlifted and admitted into a hospital and remained there overnight. “After further consultation it was sensible for him to remain in the hospital for observation overnight for purely precautionary measures and fly home,” spokesman John Kirby said in a statement. He reportedly spoke to President Obama while he was in the hospital and seemed to be in good spirits. Read more.


Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Are Expecting

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter North will soon become a big sister. Kardashian recently shared that she is pregnant with her second child. In a teaser that aired after the mid-season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the reality television star told her sister Khloé that she was expecting after going to a doctor’s appointment. “I just got the blood test back, and I am pregnant!” she said.
