While fans anxiously await Jay Electronica’s highly-anticipated debut album, he’s managing to keep them on their toes through his words.

The Roc Nation signee was performing at a show at London’s XOYO venue, when he stopped his set to call out both Drake, as well as J. Cole on separate occasions.

He dissed Drizzy by telling the crowd:

“Jay Electronica is the God of Hip-Hop. You might be the 6 God, but I am the God.”

Later, he interrupted Skepta’s “Shutdown,” while it was playing during his set, in order to call out Cole, stating:

“I’m sorry, but J. Cole ain’t got bars like this. I’m sorry, whoever your favorite rapper is, they all know that I’m the God.”

This could be another case of how Kendrick Lamar called out Drake, Cole, and other big rappers of today, with the intention of getting them to go harder on the mic, rather than cause a feud.
