There’s a good chance that Lamar Odom may not face prosecution for cocaine possession after he overdosed in a brothel earlier this year.

Lamar is still struggling to recover from the incident where he was found unresponsive, and that could keep him out of court. According to TMZ.com, the District Attorney is factoring in his current mental and medical state while considering whether or not to charge him.

While it may sound like the D.A. is going easy on Lamar, this may actually be pretty standard. TMZ reports that Nyle County rarely prosecutes anyone for cocaine possession if they are hospitalized with serious damage to their system.

Since Lamar can hardly speak and isn’t able to walk, he definitely falls into this category. Even if that wasn’t the case, there’s a chance that Lamar still wouldn’t have to go to court because sources close to his recovery say he isn’t competent enough to face prosecution.
