Dennis Rodman may be known for his wild boy ways, but not even the wildest of men can get jail time.

The former NBA star could face as much as two years in prison after being charged with a hit-and-run on Monday, stemming from a late-night wrong way freeway crash in July. According to reports, the Orange County District Attorney charged Rodman with hit-and-run, driving a car across the divider, giving false info to a cop and driving a car without a valid license.

The incident took place on July 20th of this year, as Rodman was driving an SUV around 12:30am. He was reportedly driving northbound in the southbound carpool lane, causing another car swerve to avoid a head-on collision and crash into the center divider. Rodman allegedly fled the scene before cops arrived and never exchanged info with the other driver.

A rep for the star says, “We agree that if anything, this is a misdemeanor traffic matter, and certainly not a felony. We appreciate the district attorney evaluation and know that it should resolve successfully when all facts are considered.”  Rodman’s lawyer also insists that the crash was caused by inadequate signs on an exit ramp.

We’ll keep you posted on the case.
