Friday Kobe and soon to be ex wife Vanessa Bryant attended their daughter’s recital at school. I saw pictures of Vanessa laughing and Kobe looking the polar opposite.  Of course a couple hours later TMZ reported that Vanessa had filed for divorce citing on  “irreconcilable differences.”

It has already been in the works, because allegedly Kobe has moved out of the house.  And to top it off  Vanessa never signed a pre-nup so she is entitled to half of everything he has earned during their 10 year marriage. Talk about a come up.

Why now?  Well according to VLAD TV and other news sites Vanessa was sick of Kobe’s multiple affairs. Remember even a year or so ago it was rumored Kobe had a love child over seas.  Well the latest rumored woman is Playboy model Jessica Burciaga.  The rumored relationship allegedly went one for several months and Kobe tricked off hundreds of thousands of dollars.  Jessica has put out a statement that she doesn’t even know Kobe.

The AJC reported the robbery happened around 5:30am Sunday morning.  Two caretakers who help run the studio got out of their car and were forced into the studio and then duct taped and bound. The robbers allegedly stole about $50k in studio equipment and cash.  The two care takers eventually broke free and ran for help to a nearby neighbor.

Rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny were arrested in West Hollywood on drug charges late last night.According to sources , T.I. and Tiny were pulled over for a routine traffic stop by West Hollywood police, who smelled what they described as marijuana smoke. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, was booked along with his wife and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The Associated Press reports that bail was set at $10,000. T.I. and Tiny have posted bail and have already been released.

While details are sketchy as of press time, the arrest could impact T.I. greatly. The rapper is currently serving a three-year probation after he pleaded guilty in May of 2009, for attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers before the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta in 2007.

T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., was released from prison in March of 2010.

Of course the couple recently married a little over a month ago,  and T.I. currently has the number one movie in the country with “Takers.”

Does this mean that T.I. is going back to jail???

The Oprah Winfrey Show is hosting a viewing party in Atlanta next week.

While the talk show host will not actually be in town, as part of Oprah’s continuing “No-Phone Zone” campaign, she is dedicating her April 30 show to raising awareness on the topic of distracted driving. The show is holding viewing rallies in five cities around the country on this date, including Atlanta at Georgia Tech’s Ferst Center for the Arts.

During the event, the Oprah show will cut to a live feed of the crowd in Atlanta at the Ferst Center on Georgia Tech’s campus. Those in attendance may appear on camera during a live episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Admission is free. Students, faculty, staff, and the general public are invited to attend.

Actress Holly Robinson Peete, special correspondent for “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and Oprah Radio host, will moderate the event and interview attendees.

It’s Earth Day. The first Earth Day was held 40 years ago to promote environmental issues and call attention to protecting our precious environment. So make sure you do something to help improve our environment today! Here’s a few ways you can make small adjustments in your daily life that can make a huge difference!

So the typical person would think that using an appliances is better for the planet, right? Well not when it comes to washing the dishes. Running the dishwasher has less of an environmental impact than washing the dishes by hand. You’ll save the most energy by running the dishwasher only when it’s full and letting dishes air dry instead of using the heated dry cycle.

Washing the car with a bucket and a hose uses less water than running it through a commercial car wash where powerful jets of water are hitting the car from every angle. You’re wrong. It takes up to 140 gallons of water to wash a car at home compared with just 45 gallons of water at a commercial car wash.

You use plastic containers to tote lunch to work and microwave leftovers, pop them in the dishwasher and reuse them all over again.

But plastic leaches a chemical called Bisphenol A, or BPA, that has been linked to immune impairment, obesity and early onset puberty, explains Sara Snow, eco expert and author of Sara Snow’s Fresh Living: The Essential Room-by-Room Guide to a Greener, Healthier Family and Home. Snow recommends storing and reheating food in glass containers because glass is a natural material that won’t off-gas chemicals into the environment.

Sometimes, gas gets a bad rap. The assumption that cooking an entire meal using a few briquettes and a lighter has less of an environmental impact than cooking burgers on a gas grill is false. When it comes to barbeques, gas is greener. Charcoal grills produce three times more greenhouse gases than propane grills.

You don’t want to run the heat or air conditioning when no one is home but turning it off isn’t a green act. Turning the thermostat off can cause temperatures in the house to get too hot or cold, forcing the furnace or A/C to work harder to warm or cool the house when you get home. Leaving the thermostat set at a constant temperature also wastes a lot of energy. The solution: Install a programmable thermostat.

Turning off the coffee maker, television and radio is much better than leaving them running 24/7 but shutting down the power doesn’t mean appliances and electronic gadgets aren’t consuming energy.

Vampire power refers to the energy that’s used when something is plugged into the wall — even if it’s not turned on — and it accounts for up to 10 percent of residential energy use. You can cut energy use by unplugging products, not just turning them off

So these are just a few simple ways that you can help make a smal change on a daily basis.
