The New York Big Dog Sean “Diddy” Combs hit Rikers Island earlier in the week to visit jailed rapper Lil Wayne.

According to the New York Daily News, Combs hopped the bus to Rikers to visit Lil Wayne on Wednesday (April 28th) at the Eric M. Taylor correctional facility.

Diddy, who was on a pre-approved list, met with Lil Wayne for about an hour at the prison.

Despite being incarcerated for the next eight months for gun possession, Lil Wayne continues to make headlines in the media.

Last week, Amelia Negron, a prison guard at Rikers Island, announced that she was filing a federal lawsuit against the Department of Corrections, after she was allegedly fired for spying on the rapper, while he was visiting a guest.

Rapper Nicki Minaj has fired her manager Debbie Antney, who is the mother of Waka Flocka Flame.

The termination happened suddenly and came in the form of a cease and desist letter, according to Singersroom News. The notice reportedly bans Antney from conducting business for Minaj.

“I received a letter, which was (a) suspension,” Antney said in a recent interview. “The next letter that came in was a cease and desist in doing all business with Nicki Minaj from Nicki’s attorney.”

Antney said there was no reason for the termination given.

TMZ has learned Dr. Conrad Murray’s legal defense is that Michael Jackson gave himself the fatal dose of Propofol.

Multiple sources familiar with the strategy tell TMZ the defense argument goes like this:

- At around 10:50 AM, Dr. Murray gave Jackson 25 mg of Propofol from a 20 ml bottle — that’s only about 1/8 of the bottle.

- The dose Dr. Murray administered would keep someone asleep for only 5 to 10 minutes, But the Propofol, along with the Ativan and Versed that was already in MJ’s system, had a synergistic effect that put Jackson to sleep for a longer period of time.

- For the next hour, Dr. Murray stayed in the room and was on the phone for much of the time. Dr. Murray didn’t leave the room to make the calls because MJ liked activity in the room, regularly sleeping with the lights on and cartoons blaring on the TV.

- At around noon, Dr. Murray left the room for approximately two minutes to go to the bathroom. While he was gone, the defense believes Jackson suddenly awakened and was frustrated he had spent nearly 9 hours trying in vain to sleep. The defense theory — Jackson took the 20 ml bottle of Propofol and self-injected the remaining contents through the IV, causing a massive overdose that stopped his heart.

- Dr. Murray walked back in the room and saw Jackson with his eyes open and pupils dilated. Dr. Murray dropped the phone (he was speaking with his girlfriend) and began administering CPR.

The defense will argue Michael Jackson was a long-time Propofol addict — something TMZ first reported shortly after the singer’s death. As one source said, Jackson liked the sensation of Propofol being administered by IV, adding, “Michael liked to push it.”

Fans of rapper Juelz Santana in Grand Rapids, Michigan were disappointed Saturday (April 3) when the popular rapper canceled his show, due to medical reasons.

Santana was supposed to perform at Club 131, which is located inside of the Deltaplex Arena and Conference Center.

Fans who arrived were given a flyer instructing them to hold on to their tickets, as the promoter vowed to scheduled a make up date.

Juelz Santana’s show in Grand Rapids was canceled because the rapper had to undergo surgery for a root canal.

“A! Grand Rapids. I’m not gonna make it 2nite. Had 2 get a root canal,” Juelz Santana stated via Twitter. “Respect 2 promoter RIO. Makeup date is coming. Keep da peace.”

Juelz Santana is currently enjoying the success of the single “Beamer Benz or Bentley” which also features Lloyd Banks.

Thomas Hagan, the only man to admit being involved in the murder of Malcolm X, has been granted parole.

According to the New York Times, Hagan will likely be released from prison on April 28th after being granted parole on March 3rd.

Hagan has recently been allowed to spend 12 hours a week in a work release program and to spend time at home with his wife and kids prior to being paroled.

Hagan, along with Norman 3X Butler and Thomas 15X Johnson – both of whom maintain their innocence, assassinated Malcolm X on February 21, 1965 in New York City’s Audubon Ballroom.

G-Unit’s Tony Yayo sheds some light on what Lil Wayne will go through when he finally begins his prison bid.

Yayo knows what he’s talking about, having served time in Rikers Island for possessing a forged passport during what was arguably G-Unit’s most successful time period. So everything he says is based on his experience.

“Make sure he bring his weed and his pills and boof that…cheek his pills…all his drugs. Get that in his system…He’s gonna get processed quick because he’s a superstar, then they’re going to take him to Rikers…I doubt he’ll be on the bus with other inmates because he’s too high profile…He’s going to be on 23 hour lockdown, cuz there’s no way he’ll be in population…if something happens to Lil Wayne in jail, Rikers Island don’t wanna be responsible for that.“

Two men were arrested after they tried to use a fake credit card to purchase over $25,000 in champagne during Juelz Santana’s 27th birthday on Tuesday (February 23).

Juelz hosted a rowdy birthday bash at M2 Ultra Lounge, which included guests like Ashanti, Lil Kim and Snoop Dogg, who arrived with a 20-man entourage.

According to The New York Post, the two men, Robsson Depeine 23, and Jeff Sylvain, 24, reserved a table and showed up with five other friends.

The pair ordered 10 bottles of Moet Nectar Rose – which cost $400 per bottle – and even sent some over for Juelz Santana’s table to enjoy.

They were arrested when they attempted to settle the $24,500 bar tab with a fake American Express card, according to M2’s general manager Dan Devlin.

Jay-Z filed a lawsuit in Federal Court in New York claiming that Highland Capital Management is attempting to bleed him over a hotel that was never opened.

Jay-Z is suing Highland and NexBank, claiming the companies deliberately dragged on renegotiations of a $52 million loan, which cost the mogul $20,000 per day.

The rap star originally borrowed the $52 million from Column Financial of Manhattan in 2007, which was to be used to open the proposed trendy, J Hotel.

The loan was later sold to Highland. Due to the economy, plans to build the hotel on West 21st Street were scrapped. Jay-Z claims Highland stalled his efforts to hand over the dead in lieu of foreclosure.

The lawsuit claims that Highland is attempting to “bleed” him of funds in excess of what he guaranteed on the non-principal obligations of the company building the hotel.

Jay-Z seeks a declaratory judgment stating that he has fulfilled his obligations in addition to seeking $3.7 million in damages because of the additional interest and others cost incurred under the agreement.

“Highland believes the claims asserted by Mr. Carter are meritless, and [the company] will vigorously defend itself and intends to pursue the obligations owed to Highland’s investors by the borrower, Mr. Carter and the other guarantors,” Highland said in a statement.
