HotSpotATL – Hot 107.9 Atlanta's Home for the Hip-Hop Community

New Orleans rapper Mystikal has been making the rounds since his release from prison in January after serving six years. Mystikal was in Atlanta recently and dropped by the Hot 107.9 studios to give us some insight on what he’s working on. He said that while he has yet to sign a record deal with anyone, several companies are interested.

Atlanta’s own T.I. appeared on Hot 107.9′s Rickey Smiley Show and spoke for the first time since being sentenced to 11 months in prison for violating his probation. T.I. announced that his delayed album “King Uncaged” will now be called “No Mercy.” He also discussed his list of favorite MCs.

We caught up with Waka Flocka Flame on at the BET Hip Hop Awards at the Atlanta Civic Center, where he was very excited about the release of his debut album, “Flockaveli.” He also talked about the Eddie Long spoof of “No Hands” by the Durtty Boyz’ and addressed his appearance on BET’s 106 and Park, where he didn’t come off as the brightest bulb in the room.

T-Pain dropped by our studios recently to do the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show,” and afterward the Atlanta artist took time out to speak with NeeNee and Hot 107.9′s Intern TV! NeeNee even got Pain to rap since he originally wanted to be a rapper, not a singer. Peep the exclusive here!

Prior to be arresting in Gwinnett County, Khia dropped by Hot 107.9 and sat down with HotSpotAtl.com. The controversial female MC talked about her reality show, “Anger Management,” and also said that her new album dropping this fall will be a double disc of R&B and hip hop.

Ne-Yo dropped by Hot 107.9 recently to talk about his upcoming album Libra Scale with the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show.” Before the Atlanta singer/songwriter left the building he also took some time to speak with NeeNee of Hot 107.9′s Intern TV and toast to the “Champagne Life.”

Atlanta rapper Pill has been causing quite a stir in the mixtape and underground hip hop scene ever since he dropped the controversial video “Trap Goin’ Ham.” Since then he dropped a Gangsta Grillz mixtape with our own DJ Drama.
