Beyonce and the Carter family have finally released photos of Blue Ivy Carter!

Bey posted photos of Blue Ivy on her website, and Beyonce’s sister Solange tweeted the photos as well! Blue Ivy is adorable!

The proud parents are shown holding their bundle of joy. Blue Ivy was born on Saturday January 7th, 2012 at a healthy 7 lbs. Bey and Jay look so happy! They even posted a note of gratitude:

This has to be another sign of the time now most people don’t get to sue the robbers who stole their drug stash. But we guess there’s a first time for everything! A man in California is planning to file a lawsuit against the men convicted of robbing him of six pounds of pot. Michael Steffens, 51, is seeking $18,000 in restitution, and the court is actually on his side! Steffens says he smokes marijuana for back pain. He wants the robbers to pay a high price for his loss!Meanwhile, the courts won’t be having any sympathy for this guy. Devante Saxton, 19, stupidly tried to make it past juvenile detention center security with five bags of weed on his person! Before going through the Illinois facility’s metal detector, this idiot emptied his pockets and placed his drugs in a bin to be scanned. He was arrested and charged with pot possession – obviously.

Atlanta police have identified the third suspect seen in a viral online video allegedly beating and kicking a 20-year-old gay man while shouting anti-gay slurs, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Arrest warrants are being sought for all three men.

Brandon White was attacked Saturday in front of a corner market at 1029 McDaniel Street in the southwest Atlanta neighborhood of Pittsburgh by men identified as members of the 1029 Jack City Gang.

Federal authorities are considering seeking federal hate crime charges against the suspects.

Police have not released the alleged assailants’ names or their suspected whereabouts.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $15,000 reward for information on the case. Anyone with information should call 404-577-8477.

Before Bishop Eddie Long came under fire for settling sexual abuse charges against him out of court when he vowed to fight them, Long’s finances were under scrutiny in a congressional investigation by Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley.

WSB-TV starting looking into Long’s assets more than six months ago. Now with his wife Vanessa filing for divorce, Long’s finances are under the microscope. WSB-TV found very little paperwork because the church and its dozens of affiliated companies file very few public documents.

Records show Long’s assets have been intertwined with New Birth’s assets for years, including New Birth paying approximately $200,000 in property taxes for Long and $85,000 in taxes for his private plane.

Long’s financial troubles appear to be mounting. In addition to the undisclosed financial settlement to five young men who accused him of sexual abuse last summer, records show Long has agreed to pay nearly $2 million to settle a defaulted bank loan, he owes $200,000 to a developer, and in October church members sued Long for over $1 million in failed investments sold by a man he endorsed.

WSB-TV requested an interview with Long, but a spokesperson told reporter Jodie Fleischer the bishop was too busy.

The remaining 48 are children that Monyetta Shaw (Ne-Yo’s Girlfriend and Baby Mama) agreed to “adopt.” Now, the “adopted” kids won’t be living with the couple, but Monyetta has agreed to pay for their living costs for a year, totaling $20,000!

Shaw, the girlfriend of Atlanta-based R&B star Ne-Yo, won’t actually bring the children home to live with her, but she will pay their living costs for a year — estimated at $20,000, TMZ says.

Shaw, who has had roles in such films as “Major Movie Star” and “Soul Men,” and Ne-Yo (Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr.) have two children together.

There’s an old saying that goes: “Real friends are there when you need them the most.” Well, a former associate of Nate Dogg says the singer’s friends turned their backs on him, even refusing to pay for his mounting medical bills.

TMZ Reports

Nate Dogg’s world-famous rap friends turned their backs on the singer when he needed them most … refusing to pitch in one cent towards his medical costs … this according Nate’s former associate, who’s on the hook for the $300k bill.

TMZ broke the story … Nate’s estate AND a record label owner named David Michery … were sued by the medical facility where Nate lived from 2008 to 2010 after suffering a massive stroke. A judge recently ruled in favor of the facility, which means David needs to pay up … or else.

Now, it could be that this guy is just bitter because he was stuck with the bill. It doesn’t seem likely that NO ONE would help Nate out in his time of need. What do you think?

The ATL rapper dropped by Hot 107.9 and spoke to Emperor Searcy and MZ Shyneka about the mixtape and movie and shared his thoughts on the passing of his friend, Brick Squad rapper Slim Dunkin.

Jay-Z & Beyonce Trademark Blue Ivy’s Name

The Washington Post reports that Jay Z and Beyonce’ have filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect Blue Ivy‘s name. The trademark will reserve her name for future use of items like “baby carriages, baby cosmetics and diaper bags.”

Multiple applications for various trademarks of Blue Ivy’s name were submitted just days after her birth, so Jay and Bey were prompted by their legal team to trademark their daughter’s name. Fashion designer Joseph Mbeh submitted an application to trademark “Blue Ivy Carter NYC” on Jan. 11. Then on Jan. 20, another application for “Blue Ivy Carter Glory IV” was submitted, this time to be used to sell a line of fragrances. Both filings have since been denied. Officials have said since the name belongs to a “very famous infant” that consumers would falsely assume any products with her name were approved by the celebrity parents.

Police Are Using WorldStarHipHop To Catch Criminals

ABC News has a story on the popular hip-hop/video website, WorldStarHipHop.com. In the story they discuss the effects of the website, which often posts cell phone camera footage of fights in schools, fast food restaurants, and on trains and buses.

They also report that police departments are frequenting the popular website to to identify and apprehend people who are involved in the fights and other criminal activities.

ABC News reports:

Christine O’Brien, spokeswoman of the Philadelphia Police Department, said World Star and similar sites have helped detectives zero in on suspects quickly just from watching the videos. They solved one such crime in early January, when a man was jumped, beaten and robbed while waiting for a subway. The incident was uploaded to World Star Hip Hop, and detectives made an arrest in the case four days later.

“After we got this got tip [about the World Star video], we found the video and were able to gather information from it,” O’Brien said. “At that point, we made decision to make sure investigators were made aware of this website, to go on and look for incidences. You don’t realize how many people follow YouTube and the videos. It’s a great tool in solving a lot of these crimes.”
