Vonetta McGee, a film and television actress originally known for blaxploitation pictures like “Blacula,” “Hammer” and “Shaft in Africa,” died on July 9 in Berkeley, Calif. She was 65 and a Berkeley resident.

The cause was cardiac arrest, said Kelley Nayo, a family spokeswoman.

In “Blacula” (1972), Ms. McGee portrayed the love interest of Mamuwalde (William Marshall), an African prince who, after an ill-fated trip to Transylvania centuries earlier, re-emerges in modern Los Angeles as a member of the thirsty undead.

Francis Scott Key’s 1814 composition, “The Star Spangled Banner” became the United States’ national anthem in 1916 after an executive order by President Woodrow Wilson, and since then it’s tripped up many singers who have attempted to sing the song in public.

The Olympic medalist attempted to sing the national anthem at an NBA game back in 1993 with absolutely horrid results.

Before a 2005 middleweight boxing match between Jermain Taylor and Bernard Hopkins, R Kelly attempted to channel Marvin Gaye’s classic rendition of the anthem back in 1983, but came across looking kinda foolish after bringing a pair of dancers on stage and repeatedly asking the audience to clap along.

Cuba Gooding, Sr

Cuba Gooding Jr’s father, and lead singer of 70′s soul group The Main Ingredient, attempted to sing the anthem before the 2008 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association basketball finals.

1. You check his or her profile page more than four times a day.
You don’t need to review status updates, profile pic changes and added friends every 20 minutes. If communication between the two people involved is at the level it should be, then you should already know what your partner is doing without caring about every single little detail that he or she chooses to post.

2. If you’ve Googled “How to retrieve a person’s password.”
You’ve already gotten them to log onto their profile on your computer, hoping ‘Autoform’ would save the password. Now you’re upset it didn’t work, and you’re searching for how to crack the code. Passwords are created to protect privacy. If you’re bold enough to go on a mission to get your partner’s password, how about being bold enough to ask directly?
