Duro Olowu is known for his feminine statement style. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, and now living and designing in London, he is a multicultural fashion designer. Born to a Jamaican mother and a Nigerian father, you see global influences all throughout his work.

With his Spring/Summer 2017 collection, which he presented at London Fashion Week, he admits to using late singerĀ Nina Simone as his muse. Perfect, in a time where the rights of Blacks have been ignored, with kimono shapes to fun with fringe and emphasizing bold prints and graphics, he creates a style you can’t look away from.
