Keri Hilson On Why She Doesn’t Date Celebrities [AUDIO]

In an interview with EurWeb, Atlanta R&B singer Keri Hilson made it clear that she has no intention of getting her pretty girl rock on with any male celebrities.

Hilson stated:

“I would never say ‘never,’ but I want something real. I want real love. I don’t want this red carpet Hollywood love. I feel like they’re easily penetrated, and that’s something that I don’t want. I don’t want publicity. I want love.”

While we certainly understand Miss Keri’s concerns, is she being a bit harsh in her assessment of celebrity men? Sound off in the comment section.

The Beyonce vs. Keri Hilson beef is still going strong.

Back in 2008, Decatur native Keri reportedly threw shade on the “Turnin’ Me On” remix when she called Bey out on her inability to write her own lyrics; she even used a line from the hit “Irreplaceable.”

“She can sing, but need to move it ‘to the (left)’ / She need to go have some babies / She needs to sit down, she fadin’… / Go ‘head and tell them folks how long I been writing your songs / I been puttin you on, just check the credits ho.”

Three years later, Keri still shows no love for Bey.

This weekend, when on the red carpet at the 2011 Soul Train Awards, Keri was being interviewed by a magazine that asked her to hold up their latest issue. Unfortunately for them, Beyonce and her hubby Jay-Z were on the cover and Keri simply handed the mag back and denied their request. Ha!

Keri Hilson rocked a forest green dress on the red carpet of the Soul Train Awards Thursday, at the Fox Theater in Atlanta! She was among many female celebs including Tamar, Melanie Fiona, Marsha Ambrosius, Amber Rose, Mary Mary and more!

Common, Chrisette Michele, Cee-Lo, Miguel, Lloyd, Earth Wind and Fire were just some of the celebs who performed!

Awarded at the event were Keri Hilson, Estelle, Editor of Billboard magazine Danyel Smith and TV and radio personality Egypt Sherrod for their proven commitment.

Mashonda and Melyssa Ford were also in the building. presented the awards to the ladies.

Keri Hilson was attacked on stage earlier this month while performing in Paris. A fan, who jumped from a balcony in the audience, rushed the stage while she was singing the last song of the night and tried to steal a kiss, snatching her body and pulling her towards him before security came in.

After the incident, she tweeted:

“His intentions were good! But I was def caught off guard.”

“To the guy who ran on stage & stole a kiss, I LOVE YOU TOO. Didn’t appreciate how u were handled. But next time, enjoy from the audience ”

“I just learned that dude jumped from the 2nd story balcony for the task…ok, so maybe he was a lil crazy! Just jokes. I love my fans, yo!!!”

Considering how scary the situation seemed (watch for yourself!), she seems awfully understanding!

Keri Hilson was caught backstage in Las Vegas going in on her personal assistant so hard they had to be separated by security.

According to Page Six, after performing her hits “Pretty Girl Rock,” “Turnin Me On” and “Knock You Down” to a crowd at Haze at the Aria Resort and Casino, Miss Keri came off stage and realized that her aide hadn’t removed a tag from the black harem pants she was wearing, spies said.

“Hilson lost it,” one source said. “She was screaming at her assistant for ‘not being able to do anything right.’ [She] railed that the assistant also forgot to ‘pack her eye drops and throat spray.’ ”

The peon didn’t respond kindly, saying, “Oh, hell no!” and Hilson’s security guard and manager intervened before the pop star, touring with Lil Wayne, stormed off.

Hilson’s rep told us, “Keri did ask her assistant to bring her eyedrops/throat spray as she was feeling under the weather, but there was no altercation. Keri has had the same road staff, from assistant to security, for a few years now.”

After the show, Hilson Tweeted, “Shout out to all the PARTY PEOPLE at HAZE tonight!!!! Much love to promoter, mgr & staff for takng great care!!”

Keri Hilson is a part of the I Am Still Music tour along with Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Lloyd, Far East Movement and Porcelain Black. The tour’s latest stop was last night in West Palm Beach, Florida. Keri has been performing in what looks to me like a pink prison outfit with sparkles. Cute.

Keri’s badass look is completed with a bandana, studded gloves and combat boots. Throughout her performance, Keri unzips the prison suit and continues her performance in a white tank top. To top off her look, Keri’s microphone is in the shape of a gun and even holds it out to her audience as if she was going to shoot it. How nice.

Last night, Keri Hilson was out partying with a Amy Winehouse Look a like. She shared a twitpic of the two with her followers, “Gasp* Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/ me!!! (seriously, uncanny resemblance).” Keri received tons of angry tweets from Amy Winehouse fans who felt the tweet was insensitive. Keri later apologized for the tweet.

Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But really the resemblance freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever. #RIPAMYWINEHOUSE

I apologize 2 anyone who might’ve taken it the wrong way. As a fan, I thought it was cool that she dressed up to honor Amy..

I had no ill intent, but I understand how it appears insensitive…my bad twitterville. For real.

Amy Winehouse was buried this morning in London. She was found dead in her apartment Sunday July 24. Many suspected her cause of death were due to drugs but nothing was found in her home. The results of Amy’s autopsy was found inconclusive. Officials are currently waiting for her toxicology results.
