We previously reported that Monica and Brandy teamed up again 14 years after their hit “The Boy Is Mine.” The track, “It All Belongs To Me,” shows each woman’s vocal and personal growth.

Produced by Rico Love, “It All Belongs To Me” picks up where “The Boy Is Mine” left off. Instead of fighting over the same man, now Monica and Brandy are kicking his cheating behind to the curb.

Monica And Brandy Reuniting For New Song

It’s been nearly 14 years since “The Boy is Mine,” Brandy and Monica’s R&B teen catfight cut ruled airwaves. But the two apparently are back at it again.

Over the weekend Monica, who’s readying her next album New Life, tweeted out some pictures of herself and buddy Brandy in the studio together along with producer Rico Love (Beyoncé, Usher, Mary J. Blige). “We have Both Been Blessed Beyond Measure,” Monica writes in the tweet. “14 years later. Love @4everBrandy.”

Love seems ecstatic of the collab as well. “My dreams come true on a daily basis,” he tweeted during that same period—attaching a shot of him with the ladies. “God is the greatest!! @MonicaBrown, @4everBrandy.”

ASCAP recently honored both of them along with Motown Records Senior Vice President of Marketing and Artist Development Phillana Williams at Tenjune in New York City.

The 3rd Annual “Women Behind The Music Series” presented by ASCAP’s Rhythm & Soul team was just one of several events intended to empower women. In addition, ASCAP recognized some of those who have made exceptional contributions to the music industry.

Monica and husband Shannon Brown of the L.A. Lakers were rumored to be expecting his and her first child together, but Monica insists this isn’t true!

Monica tells GlobalGrind:

“I’m young, he’s young and we want to have that between the two of us, but right now we are enjoying the three that we have blended together. We have little Shannon, we have Rodney and we have Romello. So we are enjoying the three of them right now.”

R&B songstress Monica was honored by ASCAP for her accomplishments as a recording artist alongside with legendary music manager Mona Scott’s and music executive Philana Williams last night in NYC.

The Atlanta native couldn’t help but gush about her relationship with Shannon Brown. “I think the cutest thing he does for me is this thing with my feet,” she said as her eyes lowered and her lips curled. She went on, “I really love it when he helps my boys to dunk, ’cause he’s really known for dunking. He likes to help them dunk and they [the kids] think they’re doing it on their own.”

The devoted mother of two spoke about balancing motherhood and the music business. Noting that her children always come first she shared, “I do what they need, so I can do what I can. I’m up at six a.m. getting them ready for school which is fine because I didn’t leave Missy’s [Elliott] house until four.”

We couldn’t help but be impressed with her supermom abilities and the massive ring on her finger. Talk about “put a ring on it!’ Check out the images below.

Actors Brian White (“I Can Do Bad All By Myself”) and Malinda Williams (“Soul Food”) play a couple who, while fighting over his infidelity, get into a car accident.

Monica spends the rest of the video letting Brian know what’s really important.

Monica has begun shooting the video for “Until It’s Gone,” the new single from her upcoming album New Life. She was joined on set by her hubby Shannon Brown, and actors Brian White (“I Can Do Bad All By Myself”) and Malinda Williams (“Soul Food”) who, from the photos posted on Twitter, got way into character.

The video was directed by Diane Martel, who last worked with Monica in 1999 for “Angel of Mine.” She’s also the mastermind behind Beyonce’s “Best Thing I Never Had,” Ciara’s “Like A Boy” and “Ride,” and Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” and “Like You’ll Never See Me Again.”

The video depicts a car accident which meant the two actors had to undergo some “bloody” makeup treatments (see their pics in the gallery below!)

Monica tweeted while on set:

We’ve been suspecting that Monica is pregnant, but she made sure to only take pics from the chest up. However, her friend Johnni Marie did tweet her: “THE GLOW BABY GIRL, THE GLOW! That’s all I’m going to say!” Could she be talking about a new mommy glow?

Next to saying the vows, watching a couple have their first dance is the most moving part of a wedding. That’s the moment when nobody in the world matters except your new spouse. As a guest, you get to see how deep the love between the couple is simply by the way they stare into each other’s eyes during their first dance. Since the summer weding season is winding down, The Urban Daily put together a list of the top wedding songs in no particular order.

Kenny Lattimore – “For You”
If you’ve to a wedding and haven’t heard this song, question the DJ’s abilities. “For You” is enveloped in romance and pure emotion. We find a man not afraid to express the love he has for his queen. Don’t let the groom start whispering the lyrics to his bride as the song plays. The reception might have to be cut short, if you catch what I’m throwing at you.

Luther Vandross – “Here And Now”
With Luther as R&B’s perennial lothario, there is no way this could exist without this song. The lyrics to “Here an Now” practically read like vows themselves. “Here and now/I promise to love faithfully /You’re all I need” Enough said.

Monica – “Angel of Mine”
This Georgia songbird had one of her biggest hts with the Rodney Jerkins produced hit. Though many dismiss the notion of love at first site, Monica was singing about having an instant attraction to a person’s spirit. A spiritual connection before a physical one, that’s rare these days.

Prince – “Adore”
Prince’s duality when it comes to music is amazing. One minute he’s tricking with a darling named Nikki and in another moment he’s so deep in love he can’t find the words to express it. “Adore ” is one of the most sizzling and devoted songs The Purple One has ever recorded. When a man tells you, “You can burn up my clothes, smash up my ride.” That’s way more than love. No one captures those moments in song better than Prince.

Sade – “No Ordinary Love”
Sade’s first single from her fourth album has been a wedding staple since its release in 1992. Though the production is seductive, the words are honest. She sings of giving her man all she’s got, despite the fact he has made her cry. Sade just couldn’t help falling in love and most newlyweds identify with those emotions.

Anita Baker – “Sweet Love”
Anita Baker is the queen of love songs. The only other person to match her catalog of love tracks is Luther Vandross. With “Sweet Love,” Anita steps into the role of a woman unshamed to say how much she loves her man. “Sweet Love” illustrates what a true marriage is-a partnership based on love and commitment.

Michael Jackson – “Lady In My Life”
No matter how you look at it, this song is beautiful. Michael Jackson goes in about the woman he longs to spend the rest of his life with. The song begins with sweet whispers of love and mounts in intensity until MJ is hollering, ” I love you. I love you. I need you. I want you, Babe!” what more needs to be said? “I do.”

K-Ci and JoJo – “All My Life”
If you’ve been to a wedding after 1998, you are probably sick of this song as a wedding song. Although, it’s the perfect soundtrack for a wedding, hearing it at yours, your cousin’s, your best friend’s, your uncle’s, and everybody else you know’s wedding is a bit much. Even though we get sick of it when we have to go to more than one wedding in a month, we love the sentiments behind the track. That’s pure unadulterated love codensed into a five minute song.

Eric Benet and Tamia – “Spend My Life With You”
This love song is about being comfortable in your relationship. “Spend My Life With You” celebrates simple things like waking up next to each other and looking into each other’s eyes. Eric Benet and Tamia’s duet has slid out of speakers at weddings and is sure to continue to be a wedding ballad for the rest of all time.

Lionel Richie and Diana Ross – “Endless Love”
You can’t bring up weddings and love without talking about the epic Lionel Richie and Diana Ross cut. the sweeping strings and saccharine words make you wish you had that type of love. If you have that kind of love, “Endless Love” makes you want to hold on to it forever.

Sources say that the Atlanta singer just found out last week and is around two months pregnant. So we’re guessing we’ll have to wait until she finishes that first trimester before making the big announcement!.

Monica recently said “I do” for the second time to Shannon Brown last month.

Monica has two sons Romelo and Rodney “Lil Rocko” from a previous relationship with Atlanta rapper Rocko.

Biggie’s Mom Has Lil’ Kim Removed From Monica Single

Newlywed R&B star Monica has found herself in the middle of a family feud.

The ATL singer recently collaborated with Rick Ross, Missy Elliott and Lil’ Kim for the single, “Anything.” The song samples David Porter’s “I’m Afraid the Masquerade Is Over” used for the Notorious B.I.G’s classic “Who Shot Ya?” and the Queen Bee cribs a few lines from the Biggie hit in her verse. According to Monica’s twitter account Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace has stopped the single from being released because Lil’ Kim appears on the song. As custodian of Biggie’s estate, Ms. Wallace approves any samples of her late son’s music.

“I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed. She’s our friend, a legend,” Monica wrote. “Lil Kim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked and I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate.”

Ms. Wallace and Lil’ Kim have been engaged in a very public feud over the past few years, most recently over Kim’s portrayal in the biopic Notorious. Based on Monica’s tweets, the song would not be cleared unless Lil’ Kim’s vocals were removed.

Despite her displeasure, Monica maintained her respect for Ms. Wallace and did not take sides, insisting that she “respects all parties involved” and hopes to have the song reinstated with Lil’ Kim featured.

Lil’ Kim has taken the high road thus far simply writing, “I want ya’ll to know that Missy Elliot and Monica Brown have been going hard a s mothaf*cka for this situation. I love them so much! We are planning something even BIGGER for you guys.”
