Race has and will always be a hot button issue. A nonchalant comment can be turned into World War 3, depending on who you’re speaking too. One of the things that really get under people’s skin is interracial relationships. Couples with different amounts of melanin have to deal with random angry looks. The ridicule and scrutiny is intensified when one or both of the parties in the relationship are under the microscope of Hollywood.

In the past, Black actresses were slandered for stepping out with white men. In these “post-racial” times, it’s commonplace to see a black woman with a white man. Black women have decided to stop complaining about black men leaving them for white women when they get an ounce of success. Black women are now playing the interracial dating game without shame. With the recent split of Zoe Saldana and her fiancee, Keith Britton, The Urban Daily decided to offer up a list of eleven starlets who have no issue with bringing a white guy home for the holidays.

Garcelle Beauvais

Known for her roles on The Jamie Foxx Show and NYPD Blue, Garcelle Beauvais married Mike Nilon in 2001. Nilon and Beauvais looked like the perfect couple. Fans sympathized with them as they struggled with infertility for nearly five years. By 2007, the infertility issue was laid to rest as Garcelle gave birth to twins. By the time 2010 came around, the actress and her agent husband were in the headlines after she found out he had been having an affair for five years. Beauvais didn’t get mad, she got even. She embarrassed her husband by emailing his co-workers and detailing his affair. Didn’t Redd Foxx say something about not crossing Creole women in Harlem Nights? I’ll take a guess that Mike Nilon didn’t take that advice.

Diana Ross

The ultimate diva, Diana Ross, has never been shy about dating and marrying white men. If you think about it, her relationships parallel the happenings in her career. Ms. Ross was messing with Berry Gordy when she was recording music with The Supremes. She gave the legendary record executive a daughter in 1971, but gave the child the last name of her white husband, Robert Ellis Silberstein. It wasn’t revealed until years later that Diana’s eldest daughter, Rhonda, was Berry Gordy’s. After divorcing Silberstein in 1977, Diana Ross upgraded herself by trading nuptials with billionaire, Arne Naess, Jr. The power couple parted ways in 2000 and their children use Ross as their surname.

Paula Patton

Paula Patton is one of the sexiest women in the game right now. Plenty of guys are hating that she is married to blue-eyed soul singer, Robin Thicke, instead of them. This is a couple you have no choice but to respect. They met when they were teenagers and remained together through every false start of their respective careers. In a way, Thicke introduced Patton to the world. When he dropped his overlooked debut album, A Beautiful World, it was Paula’s naked body gracing its cover. Thicke expressed his feelings about the drama the couple has endured on the 2008 song, “Dreamworld.” “There would be no black and white, the world just treat my wife right. We could walk down in Mississippi and no one would look at us twice,” he sang. It’s looking like we’re slowly but surely inching toward his dream.

Kerry Washington

When it comes to Kerry Washington’s experiences in the love department, life has imitated art. Washington landed on moviegoers’ radar as Chenille Reynolds in Save The Last Dance. Kerry played the sister of a guy in an interracial relationship. Her character felt some trepidation about her brother’s choice, but grew to accept the relationship. In real life, she was engaged to an actor named David Moscow from 2004 until 2007. It was alleged she was dating with Common once her engagement was broken off. The only evidence of the rapper and actress being together was her appearance in his video for “I Want You.” Would it be considered reaching if we used that as proof? Yes? We thought so.

Diahann Carroll

There’s no mistaking Diahann Carroll is a treasure in Black Hollywood. She always plays her characters perfectly. Having been married four times, it’s easy to say finding the one hasn’t been a walk in the park. Her most attention grabbing marriage was to singer, Vic Damone. Carroll admitted her marriage to Damone was a turbulent one. They wed in 1987 and legally separated in 1991. The pair attempted a reconciliation soon after, but officially divorced in 1996. Was Dominique Deveraux too much for the Italian-American crooner? Maybe so.

Janet Jackson

In 1989, Janet Jackson dropped an album with the mission to rid the world of color lines and racial boundaries. The notions that drove Rhythm Nation 1814 have manifested themselves in Janet’s love life. After annulling her quickie union to James Debarge in 1985, Jackson married Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991. The public didn’t discover the couple exchanged vows until Elizondo filed for divorce in 2000. Janet came back to the “dark side” when she began dating hip-hop producer, Jermaine Dupri. Seven years and a creepy tattoo later, Janet was hit by jungle fever again. She’s been involved with Wissam Al Mana for a while now. Damn, there goes my dream of marrying her!

Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg has never been considered the classic beauty. Despite that fact, she has always been able to bag a man. Whoopi entered into an affair with actor, Ted Danson in 1993. Their relationship was marred by a few media firestorms. Danson infamously roasted her at the Friar’s Club dressed in blackface. On top of the negative attention from the comedy roast, Danson and Goldberg’s affair led to Danson’s divorce, which was one of the most expensive divorces of the time. Ted Danson paid $30 million to ex-wife for his few months with Whoopi. She must have a diamond encrusted box. Goldberg must really know what she’s doing behind closed doors.

Rutina Wesley

To True Blood fans, Rutina Wesley is the angry black best friend to the main character, Sookie. Wesley’s introduction in the first episode featured her cussing out a white man for saying her name was pretty. Rutina’s character, Tara, continues to scream on the man by telling him she was named after a plantation. In the real world, Rutina Wesley doesn’t have an issue with a white man trying to spit game. She’s happily married to actor, Jacob Fishel. So much for life imitating art in this scenario.

Stacey Dash

Since entering the acting game, Stacey Dash has covered the walls of every black male teenager born in the 80s. Although Dash had plenty of black men checking for her, those gorgeous green eyes were focused on white guys. Brian Lovell took Dash’s hand in marriage in 1999 and gave it back in 2005. After a brief union with James Maby, Stacey thought she found the one in Emmanuel Xuereb. Their matrimony ended last year with Dash filing a restraining order. Inquiring minds want to know what she does to these guys to make them go so crazy?

Halle Berry

She might be the first Black actress to win the Best Actress Oscar, but she has begun to follow the trend in dating white men. Halle Berry’s love life has been well documented. Berry has been in dead end romances with Wesley Snipes, Christopher Williams, David Justice, Eric Benet, and Michael Ealy. With all of that, it’s no wonder Halle decided to add some milk to her coffee. Gabriel Aubry gave Halle something no man had given her before–a child. Once things went left for those two, French actor, Olivier Martinez became her resident arm candy.

Lena Horne

The legendary Lena Horne is revered for her beauty, grace, and performing abilities. Ms. Horne was also known for her honesty. After a short lived marriage to Louis Jordan Jones, Horne wed music conductor and arranger, Lennie Heyton. In her autobiography, she recounts the struggles they faced as an interracial couple in the 50s and 60s. In an 1980 interview with Ebony Magazine, Ms. Horne spoke about marrying Heyton to gain mainstream attention and learning to love him later. While I don’t condone that kind of thing, she had to get in where she fit in. It was hard out there for a black actress so she gets a pass.

Many people were unaware that Stacey Dash was married, but millions learned that she was single after it was reported yesterday (September 30th) that her divorce was finalized. Now that she’s not married, Stacey Dash can really focus on her career, which may be good a idea since she lost a really good part.

Getting the lead role in “Single Ladies” was such a great look for Stacey Dash! The show debuted to over 2 million viewers and its stars are regulars on numerous blogs. When it was revealed last month that Stacey Dash would not be returning for season two, many wondered who would replace her. But is Stacey Dash’s career over now that she’s no longer on “Single Ladies”?

According to imdb.com, Dash has two post-”Single Ladies” projects in the works: “House Arrest” (completed) and “Dysfunctional Friends” (post-production). The first project is a drama starring Dash and co-starring Game, and it’s scheduled to be released this year. She’s also the star of her second project “Dysfunctional Friends,” and will appear alongside Meagan Good, Tatyana Ali, Terrell Owens, Hosea Chanchez and Persia White.

So despite losing her role on “Single Ladies,” it looks like Stacey Dash is going to be alright!

If you’re a man and you think you have a chance to get with Stacey Dash, then you’re in luck…Stacey is officially divorced from her husband. According to TMZ, a judge has finally granted her divorce from actor Emmanuel Xuereb, the man she claims beat her up on multiple occasions.

Dash filed for divorce in January 2010,the same day she filed for a restraining order against Emmanuel.Dash claimed he hit her in the face, head and body during their two-plus years of marriage … but she was afraid to report it to police.

This was Stacey’s third marriage.

The internet was out of control yesterday after hearing that Meagan Good may be replacing Stacey Dash on VH1′s “Single Ladies.” Meagan is putting a stop to the rumors, as she told Global Grind that she has not been contacted to be a part of the show.

Meagan told the site:

“They haven’t contacted me..and if they do I’d only be coming on as recurring, (like I was on The Game)..I’m not ready to be a regular on a show, although I am developing a show myself I might star in.”

Seriously Meagan, like you would turn down a check?? Is there any guarantee that the show you’re producing will be picked up?

Will Meagan Good replace Stacey Dash on the hit scripted VH1 series Single Ladies? Last week Stacey Dash released a statement confirming her departure from the show. There were rumors of Stacey Dash being fired due to diva antics. In her statement she revealed the reason was due to the show being filmed in Atlanta. Stacey would rather be in LA with her kids.

Word on the street is Meagan Good has been offered to replace Stacey Dash. It has been a pretty good year for Meagan Good who had two movies released this year, “Jumping The Broom” and “35 And Ticking” and a reoccurring role on BET’s hit series “The Game.” There hasn’t been any official word from VH1 on who will replace Stacey Dash as of yet.

After weeks of speculation that she was getting fired, Stacey Dash has confirmed that she’s leaving “Single Ladies,” VH1′s show based and shot in Atlanta.

She released a statement exclusively to GlobalGrind:

“I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’, but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one.”

VH1 responded with the following:

“VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans.”

Guess VH1 wanted to save face! Good luck Stacey! Let the casting begin…and can we please find someone that can get along with LisaRaye??

Character replacing isn’t a foreign concept. Most of us adapted to the new Aunt Viv on “Fresh Prince of Bel Air.”. VH1′s “Single Ladies” premiered only a few short months ago, most of us are already sucked in and waiting on the saucy second season.

But rumor has it, Stacey Dash–who plays the forever-fantasizing Val–was not asked to return to the show in its second season. It’s such a shame because we loved Stacey’s interpretation of Val’s princess mentality.

Although we love to look at the eye candy that is the timeless Stacey Dash, we’re going to have to embrace a brand new Val. No time to mourn, we want the show to progress, so which Hollywood hottie would you want to see play Val? “Single Ladies” cast member LisaRaye, wants you to know that she is not responsible for getting castmate Stacey Dash fired. LisaRaye interrupted her vacay to discuss the rumor that Dash was fired because of their alleged beef:

As everyone know I am in Italy vacationing. I was just made aware of the lies that are being spread by Mediatakeout and other blogs that like to create false stories. I was not even aware that Stacy Dash had been fired from Single Ladies. Furthermore if she has been fired that is a network decision. I don’t have the power to get her fired nor do I have any beef with her. Now im going to go continue enjoying my vacation!

Stacy Littlejohn, the show’s principal writer and executive producer, also responded to the grilling on LisaRaye’s Facebook:

LisaRaye is a very strong woman and we love her, but she does not have that kind of power, nor at any time did she seek to influence any casting decisions. Furthermore, no cast member of Single Ladies has the power to get another cast member fired. the 6th grade back-stabbing that LisaRaye’s being accused of is completely the creation of uninformed, instigating internet gossip. Please don’t buy into it. Let’s just celebrate that we have a Season 2 coming!!!!

If you’re a fan of VH1′s “Single Ladies,” you know that tonight is the show’s season finale, but that may not be the only thing coming to an end. Word on the street is that Stacey Dash may not be coming back next season. Apparently Stacey is still acting like the diva on the set. If you remember Stacey stormed off the set during a scene and picked a fight with her co-star Lisa Raye McCoy, which left everyone on the set was stunned, because McCoy dіd nothing to provoke this behavior.

It was an intimate dinner party scene so everyone was in cocktail dresses, and Stacey was screaming and running around іn her thousand dollar Louboutins:

“Nο, I ain’t coming back unless that b*tch gets her as* kicked!”

I reached out to my source close to the show, and was told no decisions have been made yet about a casting change about for Season 2, and that includes the issue of Stacey Dash—whose behavior on the set has been troublesome at times.

Note to Stacey: You may be real fly, but there are tons of black actresses that would love to collect a paycheck!

You know how the saying goes, “Black don’t crack,” well although I’m black I can’t even front, I know sometimes this is a bald head lie, plain and simple. There are many African American’s that just don’t age well. Period. BUT, as a whole I have to say my beautiful people of color age pretty damn good compared to other races. While I don’t want to make this out to be a black/white issue, posting posts and viewing pics of celebs all day long I can’t help but see how gracefully we tend to age. Although I can’t go through every single average Joe walking down the street, I can however pick out celebs.

12. LisaRaye, 43. Though she sometimes annoys me, I’d officially be a hater if I didn’t give the woman her props. She is 43 and fabulous!

11. Common, 39. Proving that some of the high yella fellas still got it, Mr. Common sense will forever hold the subtle sex appeal of an African king and the wisdom of an old soul. I can’t even front, I was surprised myself when I saw how close to 40 he is, it doesn’t even matter because he still has “it.”

10. Oprah Winfrey, 57. Although she’s no Miss America, I will say that to be approaching the big 6-0, she sure doesn’t look like it. I mean don’t get me wrong, she’s no 37 but she also doesn’t look like she’s almost 60.

9. Halle Berry, 44. Although I get extremely tired of hearing about her beauty, I simply can’t deny it. She’s absolutely more beautiful now as a 44 year old mother, then she was as a pageant girl at 18, in my own personal opinion.

8. Stacey Dash, 45. This woman at 45 looks exactly like she did when she played Deon on “Clueless,” if not better. The woman is absolutely gorgeous!

7. Phylicia Rashad, 63. Mrs. Huxtable hasn’t changed a bit, everything from her beauty, style, grace, and class is still in tact, without a hair out of place!

6. Gabrielle Union, 38. For a woman kissing 40, She still could pass for 25. No lie.

5. Angela Bassett, 52. The soon to be 53 Angela Bassett, has been a staple for the beautiful black actress for years. Not only that but the woman has arms that will put Michelle Obama’s to shame.

4. Blair Underwood, 46. Without a wrinkle in sight Blair Underwood is to black women, what George Clooney is to Caucasian’s, in other words–all of that! This man still looks just as good as he did in “Set It Off,” when he was pouring wax down Jada Pinkett’s back, and chile I am not mad. At all.

3. Jada Pinkett-Smith, 39. Though there’s much speculation as to whether or not she’s had work done or not, one thing you cannot say is that if she didn’t throw some dookey braids in her hair or cut it short to a fade, she could still look like she did back in 1995.

2. Will Smith, 42. I’d be lying if I said Will looks exactly like he did during his fresh prince days, but he does look amazing to be in his forties.

1. Nia Long, 40. In my eyes, Nia Long exemplifies beauty! I’ll nominate her as the most beautiful woman in the world over Halle Berry any day, no lie. This woman looks better pregnant at age 40 looks better than Lindsey Lohan at 25. Don’t believe me, take a look at the gallery.
