For anyone who didn’t know, “Georgia’s quality of life and economic productivity are being reduced by choke points” — and the worst ones in Georgia are all in metro Atlanta. That’s according to TRIP, The Road Information Program, an organization that’s come out with a new list of bottlenecks.

Up to 300,000 people could be in Atlanta this weekend for the long list of events planned. From the revival of Freaknik, to Braves games, the Hawks play-offs and the Dogwood festival, the area will be packed with people. Click here for more info.

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said Wednesday he will be tough and even sue organizers of any Freaknik-related activities that violate city guidelines. "We will not be caught off-guard," Reed said at a news conference to discuss traffic and public safety plans for several scheduled events in the city this weekend.
