Today, December 15, 2009, Lil Wayne appeared in court following a hearing for weapon charges at the New York State Supreme Court in New York City.
The rapper will begin his jail stint on February 9. The Grammy-winning artist said nothing during his brief court appearance.
As we previously reported, Wayne pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. The charge stemmed from a 2007 traffic stop of his tour bus in Manhattan following a concert in New York City. His plea deal calls for a year in jail.
