An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting death of Atlanta rapper Yung Teddy (Justin Mitchell).

Cobb County police have charged a convicted felon who goes by two different names with the murder of Yung Teddy, who was gunned down in his Austell home on January 2 as two women watched. He was killed just hours after tweeting that he had received death threats.

Curley Dean Holden, who also goes by the name Willie Danyel Hunt, was on the run for almost three weeks before he allegedly threatened to kill someone at a barbecue, according to a separate arrest warrant. He was apprehended on January 23 and charged with terroristic threats.

While still in jail, Hunt was charged with murder and three counts of aggravated assault in Teddy’s death. His two most recent arrest warrants list an Austell address, but Cobb jail records list a Los Angeles address. There’s no word on whether Teddy’s murder was gang-related, but according to jail records, Hunt has several tattoos referencing the Crips.

As we previously reported, a Cobb County woman was arrested earlier this month for allegedly sending death threats to Teddy via Twitter. Yachari Kivana Miller spent 15 days in jail before being released on January 29 after posting a $4,620 bond.
