The movie tells the story of Cecil Gaines (played by Forest Whitaker), an African-American butler who served in the White House and witnessed several shocking events. Based on the true story of Eugene Allen, who worked held the job during eight presidencies from 1952 to 1986, the movie also stars Oprah Winfrey, Terrence Howard and Cube Gooding Jr.
