Is the wait finally over for Andre 3000′s debut solo album? Yes, if you believe BET executive Stephen G. Hill. Andre 3000 reportedly told the BET executive that he was working on a solo album and that it would be delivered to fans next year.
The conversation between Hill and 3 Stacks happened at the Washington, D.C. stop on Lil Wayne and T.I.‘s “America’s Most Wanted Tour. Stephen G. Hill gleefully tweeted about the brief conversation. “Me: hey what’s up? You got the movie coming,right? Andre 3000: yeah…and I got a solo album coming top of the year. Me:*droptofloor*”
Not only is Andre 3000 working on his solo debut, but he just finished filming the Jimi Hendrix biopic. The film, titled “All By My Side,” is slated to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.
