“Scandal” has long been one of the post popular shows on Twitter, and now it’s official. The season three premiere of the ABC political thriller ranked at the top of the new Nielsen Twitter TV ratings.
Last week’s season three premiere drew 10.5 million television viewers and also generated nearly 713,000 tweets, reaching a Twitter audience of 3.7 million.
The new Nielsen Twitter TV ratings rank shows according to the unique audience of Twitter users who have been exposed to at least one tweet about a program. It also identifies the number of tweets associated with a particular episode.
The rankings for the week of Sept. 30-Oct. 6 are as follows:
