In an effort to create smiles and promote youth literacy, Positive American Youth (www.Payusa.org) have called upon Maria More (Hot 107.9 / http://www.MariaMore.com), Reec (Hot 107.9) and “Ice The Bully” (PayUsa’s Anti Bullying Mascot) for a wonderful initiative titled “The Get Well Soon Tour.”
The “Get Well Soon Tour” is designed to bring joy and comfort to children that are dealing with terminal illness and/or mental and physical challenges.“Maria More, Ice the Bully & Reec” come to read stories, give toys, books and other gifts at various Children’s Hospitals and Women’s and Children’s Shelters throughout Metro and the Greater Atlanta Area.
This week the tour stopped at Hillside Children’s Center where the “crew” was welcomed by a gymnasium packed with eager young people ready to hear “Ice Gets Fit.” Ice Gets Fit is a children’s Book authored by Reec, that promotes youth fitness & exercise and has an underlying message of Anti-Bullying while promoting self confidence.
