Sad day in sports and the African American community in general.

Stuart Scott, a longtime anchor at ESPN, died Sunday morning at the age of 49. Not only did Scott change the fabric of sports casting, he also encouraged an abundance of minority media personalities including myself. His enthusiastic and creative approach was a force to reckoned with! This face and voice of Sports Center will definitely be missed.  Stuart lost his battle with cancer this morning leaving behind his 2 lovely daughters Taelor, 19, and Sydni, 15.

There is a full tribute on ESPN’s website.

In the words of the late great man himself, BOOYOWWW!
