Taylor Swift is making strides.
The pop sensation has been very vocal about how she feels towards music streaming services, and in accordance, she didn’t even release her mega hit album 1989 on Spotify. When the world learned about Apple’s new streaming service Apple Music, Taylor didn’t let them get by, either.
The “Shake It Off” songstress penned a lengthy letter to Apple explaining why she wouldn’t be streaming her album, citing artists’ non-payment for their music during the service’s trial period. Apple quickly changed the policy in response, and then Ms. Swift changed her mind. In light of the good news, Taylor tweeted:
After the events of this week, I’ve decided to put 1989 on Apple Music…and happily so.

In case you’re wondering if this is some exclusive deal like you’ve seen Apple do with other artists, it’s not.

This is simply the first time it’s felt right in my gut to stream my album. Thank you, Apple, for your change of heart.
