MLB isn’t free from domestic violence issues either. Jose Reyes, the Rockies shortstop and former Mets star, was arrested today for allegedly assaulting his wife, according Hawaii TV station KHNL. The 32-year-old reportedly grabbed his wife by the throat and shoved her into a sliding glass door in a Hawaiian Four Seasons. Reyes was arrested after the security called the police. The victim suffered injuries to her neck, thigh and wrist.
Reyes was released on bail.
