Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o is clearly a groundbreaker in film, but now her legacy is moving to broadway.

Her play Eclipsed is the first Broadway show to have an all female cast, director and writer in history.

We repeat, in history. How amazing is that?

Led by director Liesl Tommy, the play is about the resilience of women living through the Liberian Civil War.

One of the producers, Stephen Byrd, remarked that the production of the show was really driven by Nyongo’s persistence. The actress reportedly turned down three film opportunities because of her dedication to the project, the New York Times reports.

The show is set to begin its run on March 6th of next year.
