GQ 20th Anniversary Men Of The Year Party - Arrivals

Taraji P. Henson is the “Entertainer Of The Year,” according to USA Today.

The star is undoubtedly at the height of her career, and there is not a sign in the sky that she’s coming down anytime soon.

After her Empire character, Cookie, was named TIME’s most influential fictional character, it’s clear that Taraji and her boss b*tch role have made a mark on pop culture.

Taraji is also up for Golden Globe nods in 2016, and the fame of it all still catches the actress by surprise:

“Who thought Cookie would bring me this kind of notoriety? This is the type of character that people judge — she went to jail she sold drugs. But what happens? (People) run to her? Blows me away every time. That goes to show people like real,” Taraji explained while hosting Saturday Night Live in April.

When it comes to next moves, Taraji plans to pave the way for other actors and take a vacation, she told USA Today:

“I’m trying to capitalize on the success and get more business,” she says. “I’m looking to create more opportunities for other young artists coming up behind me, because I can’t do this forever.”

She laughs, “I want to at least enjoy all this money I’m making at some point!”

Taraji expressed her gratitude for the Entertainer of the Year honor through Twitter:

Go ahead and make that money, honey. We are proud of all the progress you’ve made from Baby Boy, to Hustle and Flow, to the TV juggernaut, Empire.
