Los Angeles Lakers v Los Angeles Clippers

…and apparently threw the shoes in the trash.

Yesterday, Kobe “Bean” Bryant played his last game in the NBA. The game was a vintage Kobe that fans haven’t seen all year. He scored 60 points, going 22 of 50 from the field, and shot a very ugly 6 of 21 from three. Still, he put on one hell of a show, a show that included a patented fadeaway game winner, two clutch free throws, and even an assist! After the game, he gave a heartwarming speech to Lakers fans who’d supported him over the last two decades.

Kobe was feeling so good he decided that he’d sign autographs for everyone. Everyone, except Nick Young. Nick told the story during the press conference last night.

“Kobe signing autographs. We was all standing in line like we was parents, you know? We’re in the locker room and the fact he didn’t sign my Adidas, you know he threw my Adidas. I was a little disappointed in that. But, you know, it could not end, without something like that.”

Swaggy P is right. Kobe supposedly throwing P’s shoes in the trash definitely sounds like something the-player-who-formerly-wore-number-24 would do. It doesn’t seem as if retirement is going to make him soft after all.
